Considering today’s ever changing threat landscape, there is a need for this holistic security and safety platform to better prepare organizations and schools to counter various threats facing their people, places, and things.
Since retiring from the United States Secret Service, I have spent the last 10 years at Baylor University as the Associate Vice President for Public Safety. As the Associate Vice President, I gained extensive knowledge and experience leading and managing higher education policing, physical & technical security, emergency management, and global safety & security. It is worth noting that I am also a Master Peace Officer certified by the State of Texas. (read full bio here)
During my time at Baylor University, coupled with my 36 years of law enforcement, and security experience, I identified a shortcoming in the pre-incident crisis planning models that exist today. In order to fill the gap, I developed a strategic, integrated, and holistic security platform known as the Counter Threat Model - 6 (CTM-6), for organizations and schools to better prepare themselves for crisis events affecting their respective institutions.
The CTM-6 represents an integrated, scalable planning model that can be applied in its totality or in segments to mitigate threats depending on the specific needs of your organization and/or school.
The truth is no one person or process can stop acts of violence, however through crisis pre-planning (specifically utilizing this mitigation module), your organization and/or school will be better prepared to counter various risks. I am passionate about this methodology, and I am committed to safeguarding all human beings.
